Northside has a long tradition of having men and women of spiritual
strength and maturity serving as Elders. These are drawn from the ranks
of the congregation and have particular responsibilities in the areas
of Pastoral Care, Prayer Ministry and the development of overall Church

Helen and her husband
David have been part of the church family for more than 10 years. Helen’s
entire life is one characterised by faithful service to Jesus Christ. She
has pretty much “done the lot”, including Sunday School teaching,
Christian Endeavour, Bible study leading and strong involvement in
Women’s Ministry and Church catering. Pastoral Care, however, is
Helen’s passion. She always endeavours to ensure everyone within the
Church Family feels valued and supported during their time of need. She works in
closely with the Ministry Team in the care of our Church Family.

Toby and his wife
Kirryn have been active members in the church since 2005. Toby’s passion
is to see Northside make a tangible difference in Crows Nest and the lower
Northshore – to take the message of Jesus to the Community and not expect
them to come to us. In pursuit of that goal, Toby has taken on the task
of co-ordinating a Local Mission Task Group, under the overall “Beyond
Northside” banner. As a photographer and video journalist by trade,
Toby has a real eye for detail and often uses his skills to document special
occasion in the life of our church.
