Northside is made up of a diverse range of people with equally diverse spiritual heritages and spiritual desires. Because of this, we provide people with worship options by conducting contemporary and meditative/alternative worship services.
Contemporary Services
Our contemporary worship services are at 9:30am and 6pm each Sunday. These services feature high quality music, drama and various forms of multi media as we present the Good News of Jesus in a form that effectively engages the 21st Century person.
At the 9:30am Sunday service we offer an exciting Kids' Church, with a team of approved, skilled and enthusiastic leaders providing a program that is both interesting and fun for kids of all ages from Pre-schoolers to Highschoolers. A Parents' Room is available for infants.
Meditation and Alternative Services
Northside is a member of the World Community of Christian Meditation and accordingly we provide a number of regular options for meditation. Christian Meditation is a special form of prayer adapted to our time and generation from the tradition of the ancient Desert Fathers. It is also ingrained in the New Testament.
Weekly Meditation
Our weekly Meditation times include listening to a reflection by Benedictine Monk, John Main, followed by a time of silent meditation and prayer. Meditation sessions are held every Thursday between 1:00 and 2:00pm at the church.
